The Kander Story

Pallavi's Story

When our CEO and Founder, Pallavi, graduated from college in 2005, she was unsure what direction her life would take - as are many recent graduates! However, she knew that she was destined to be an entrepreneur and open doors for others. After all, she is an Agarwal known for their influential, prosperous, and business acumen in India. But even those destined for greatness need to have the grit and resilience to get there.

Early Career

Early in her career, Pallavi stumbled into the world of consulting. Her career began as a software tester when she didn’t even know what software was. This was the first opportunity of many. Pallavi spent years supporting and advising Federal sector clients and Fortune 500 brands on complex and custom global technology solutions. Although she stumbled upon consulting, these experiences allowed her to grow and further expand her skillset, learn new technologies, and build up experience in various industries. These experiences became the foundation that shaped the vision for what her company would become.

A New Kind of Salesforce Company

After years of consulting at top firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, and various others, Pallavi recognized that customers of all sizes struggled with the lack of transparency, siloed tools, inefficient processes, and program management that were endemic to these larger firms. When customers don’t have the internal resources needed to tackle these challenges, they are forced to turn to tools and consultancies that don’t always address their needs.

Envisioning A New Company

Pallavi’s vision for her company was born from this need and she set out to create a Salesforce Transformation consultancy to help organizations tackle these challenges. She envisioned a company that would focus on delivering high-quality Salesforce implementations to help improve organizational transparency, visibility, and expanded business capabilities - all while staying true to a customer-centric approach because it is not just about updating technology. Technology is the vehicle to accomplish business goals, not the end-all solution or goal in itself. Instead, it is shifting and reimagining all of your company’s processes and ways of doing things, something Pallavi was well-versed in.

Kander's First Steps

Taking steps to start a company wasn’t easy. However, as Pallavi analyzed the decision, two statements echoed in her head. Her dad asked, “What about now?” and her mentor affirmed, “You have nothing to lose!”

In April 2018, Kander Consult was born. Kander is a spin-off from the word Candor, which means “the quality of being open and honest in expression or frankness”. This concept forms the backbone of the company culture.

Kander Today

Today, Kander takes a partnership approach with each client. We take the time to understand the “why” behind every project, and the business needs to create and deliver tailor-made solutions designed to fit each client’s specific needs.

“I wanted to start a company that answered real-world business needs by helping organizations unleash the full value of their Salesforce implementation. Kander is, by design, a consulting firm led by senior-level experts from across the world who bring strategy and execution skills to help clients achieve results and reach the next level in their industry. But what's unique about us is that we don't just come in, work on a project and leave. We take a partnership approach with each client, guiding and helping them as long as they need us.”
